Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Manager will lead the QA team at the Mbeya bottling plant, ensuring that all products meet internal specifications and regulatory requirements. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 and local food safety regulations.
• Lead internal and external audits, including HACCP, GMP, and regulatory inspections.
• Monitor critical control points, conduct root‑cause analysis, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure process validation and product consistency.
• Manage laboratory testing, sampling plans, and analytical methods for raw materials, in‑process, and finished goods.
• Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management.
• Mentor and train QA staff on best practices, documentation, and compliance.
• Support new product introductions by ensuring all quality specifications are met.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, ISO 22000, and GMP.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency in statistical tools and quality software (e.g., Minitab, SAP QM).
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or HACCP Practitioner are highly desirable.

Experience

Minimum of five years of progressive experience in quality assurance within the food and beverage manufacturing industry, with at least two years in a supervisory or managerial role.

Salary

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from TZS 2,500,000 to TZS 4,000,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with performance‑based incentives.
