Job Overview
This role is part of Pearson’s initiative to expand digital literacy in underserved regions of Tanzania. The Digital Literacy Program Coordinator will design, implement, and monitor technology-driven educational programs tailored to secondary schools and vocational training centers in Mbeya. The position emphasizes collaboration with educators, local authorities, and community leaders to ensure sustainable impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute digital literacy training modules for teachers and students.
- Coordinate with schools to integrate technology into curricula and assess program effectiveness.
- Manage partnerships with local NGOs and government bodies to secure resources and support.
- Conduct workshops on digital tools, online safety, and e-learning platforms.
- Monitor program progress using data analytics and report findings to senior management.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in educational program management or instructional design.
- Strong understanding of digital learning tools (e.g., LMS platforms, interactive software).
- Excellent communication and cross-cultural collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and budget oversight.
- Fluency in Swahili and English.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Information Technology, or Social Sciences.
- Master’s degree preferred but not required.
Experience
- 3-5 years in educational development, preferably in emerging markets.
- Experience managing technology-based learning initiatives.
Salary
2,500,000 – 3,500,000 SSP per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
