Job Overview
The Digital Literacy Program Coordinator will lead initiatives to expand digital skills training across Zanzibar’s coastal communities. This role combines education and technology to bridge the digital divide, supporting CARE’s mission to foster inclusive economic growth. The position requires collaboration with schools, community centers, and tech partners to deliver scalable digital literacy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement digital literacy training programs for youth and adults
- Coordinate with local stakeholders to identify community needs and resources
- Manage partnerships with technology providers for hardware and software access
- Develop educational materials tailored to Zanzibar’s cultural and linguistic context
li>Monitor program impact through data collection and reporting
Required Skills
- Proven experience in program coordination or educational project management
- Strong understanding of digital technology applications in developing contexts
- Bilingual proficiency in Swahili and English
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools for program evaluation
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Information Technology, or related field
- Master’s degree preferred but not required
Experience
- 3-5 years in education or technology program coordination
- Experience working in Zanzibar or coastal Tanzania is an advantage
Salary
2,500,000 – 4,000,000 SSP per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
