Job Overview
This position is part of SAP Tanzania’s initiative to expand its e-commerce solutions in East Africa. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable e-commerce platforms tailored to Tanzanian businesses. Candidates will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge digital solutions that align with global SAP standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement e-commerce platforms using SAP Commerce Cloud or similar technologies.
- Integrate payment gateways, inventory systems, and third-party APIs for seamless user experiences.
- Optimize platform performance, security, and scalability to meet business goals.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive digital interfaces.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for live e-commerce systems.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and cloud-based development frameworks.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms like SAP Commerce Cloud, Shopify, or Magento.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, database management, and cybersecurity principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Fluency in English and Swahili preferred.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Advanced certifications in e-commerce development or SAP solutions are advantageous.
Experience
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in e-commerce platform development.
- Proven track record of delivering digital projects from concept to deployment.
Salary
35,000,000 – 50,000,000 TZS annually, commensurate with experience and performance.
