Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Conservation Specialist to join our team in Mbeya, Tanzania. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing conservation projects that protect and restore critical habitats, including forests, wetlands, and wildlife corridors.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, conservation biology, or a related field, and at least 5-7 years of experience working in conservation or a related field. They will be passionate about protecting the environment and promoting sustainable development, and will have excellent communication and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement conservation projects that protect and restore critical habitats, including forests, wetlands, and wildlife corridors.
  • Work closely with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders to develop and implement conservation projects that benefit both people and the environment.
  • Conduct field research and monitoring to assess the effectiveness of conservation projects and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and manage budgets and project plans to ensure effective use of resources.
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement conservation strategies that address key environmental challenges.

  • Strong background in environmental science, conservation biology, or a related field.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience working in conservation or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
