Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Impact Assessment Specialist to join our team in Singida, Tanzania. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting environmental impact assessments for various projects, including infrastructure development, mining, and agriculture.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field, and will be able to work effectively with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental impact assessments for various projects, including infrastructure development, mining, and agriculture
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate environmental impacts
- Collaborate with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure that environmental concerns are addressed
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field
- 8-12 years of experience in environmental impact assessment and sustainability
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and policies in Tanzania
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Education
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field. A Ph.D. in a related field would be an added advantage.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of experience in environmental impact assessment and sustainability, with a strong background in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field.
Salary
The salary for this position is 5,000,000 – 7,000,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience.
