Job Overview
This role involves conducting environmental impact assessments (EIAs) for infrastructure projects in Tanzania, including renewable energy, transportation, and urban development. The position requires field data collection, stakeholder engagement, and preparation of technical reports to ensure compliance with national and international environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct baseline environmental assessments for proposed projects
- Prepare and submit EIAs to regulatory authorities
- Coordinate with local communities and stakeholders for impact mitigation
- Monitor project compliance with environmental permits
- Develop sustainability strategies for project lifecycle management
Required Skills
- Expertise in Tanzanian environmental legislation and EIA protocols
- Proficiency in GIS and environmental modeling software
- Bilingual communication (English/Swahili) preferred
- Project management experience in field operations

Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Geography, or related field
- Master’s Degree in Environmental Management is an advantage
Experience
- 3-5 years in environmental consulting or project assessment
- Proven track record in East African environmental projects
Salary
3,000,000 – 4,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
