Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist to join our team in Iringa, Tanzania. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting environmental impact assessments, developing conservation plans, and collaborating with local communities and stakeholders to promote sustainable development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental impact assessments and develop conservation plans
  • Collaborate with local communities and stakeholders to promote sustainable development
  • Develop and implement conservation strategies to protect biodiversity
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform conservation decisions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local government officials, NGOs, and other stakeholders

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in environmental conservation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Education

The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field. A Ph.D. in Environmental Science or a related field is an added advantage.

Experience

The successful candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in environmental conservation, with a strong background in environmental impact assessments, conservation planning, and community engagement.

Salary

The successful candidate will be offered a salary of 500,000 – 700,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience.
