Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Consultant to join our team in Singida, Tanzania. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable development projects, working with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote environmental conservation and sustainable livelihoods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sustainable development projects, including community-based conservation initiatives and sustainable agriculture programs
  • Collaborate with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote environmental conservation and sustainable livelihoods
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for sustainable development and environmental conservation
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring effective use of resources and achieving project goals
  • Build and maintain relationships with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote project success

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
  • 8-12 years of experience in environmental sustainability, conservation, or a related field
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sustainable development projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for sustainable development and environmental conservation

Education

The successful candidate will hold a Master’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field. A Ph.D. in Environmental Science or a related field is an added advantage.

Experience

The successful candidate will have 8-12 years of experience in environmental sustainability, conservation, or a related field. Proven experience in developing and implementing successful sustainable development projects is essential.

Salary

The salary for this position is 6,000,000 – 9,000,000 SSP per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
