Job Overview

The International Freight Operations Manager will lead the planning, execution, and optimization of ocean freight movements for Maersk’s key customers in the East African region. Key Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end ocean freight operations for assigned customer accounts, ensuring on‑time delivery and compliance.
• Develop and maintain carrier contracts, negotiate rates, and manage service performance.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, inland transport providers, and terminal operators to streamline cargo flow.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as transit time, cost per container, and on‑time delivery, and implement corrective actions.
