Job Overview
The Mining Operations Supervisor will oversee daily mining activities at our Kigoma site, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance. This role involves coordinating with engineering, maintenance, and logistics teams to optimize workflows, manage resources, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency and supporting the company’s strategic objectives in Tanzania.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct all on‑site mining operations, including drilling, blasting, loading, and hauling.
- Monitor production metrics and adjust plans to achieve daily and monthly output goals.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, conducting regular toolbox talks and incident investigations.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to implement equipment maintenance schedules and minimize downtime.
- Manage workforce scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Maintain accurate operational records and generate reports for senior management.
- Promote environmental best practices and ensure compliance with local regulations.

Education

Experience
Minimum of five years of progressive experience in mining operations, with at least two years in a supervisory or lead role. Experience in gold mining environments is highly preferred.
Salary
The position offers a competitive salary ranging from SSP 1,200,000 to SSP 1,800,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and incentives are also part of the compensation package.
