Job Overview
The Retail Operations Manager will lead the day‑to‑day operations of Shoprite’s flagship store in Tanga, ensuring operational excellence, superior customer service, and achievement of sales targets. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute store operational plans that align with corporate objectives and local market dynamics.
- Lead, coach, and motivate a team of department managers and associates to achieve high performance and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and analyze sales data, inventory levels, and key performance indicators to drive profitability.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards, including food safety and labor laws.
- Implement visual merchandising standards and promotional activities to enhance store appeal.
- Manage budgeting, cost control, and expense reporting to meet financial targets.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and talent development initiatives for store staff.
- Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to optimize stock replenishment and reduce shrinkage.
- Drive customer feedback initiatives and resolve escalated service issues promptly.
- Prepare regular performance reports for senior management and recommend corrective actions.

Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 1,500,000 to SSP 2,500,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and incentives are also part of the total rewards.
