Job Overview
The Retail Store Operations Analyst will play a pivotal role in optimizing store performance across Shoprite’s network in Tanzania. Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, the analyst will evaluate sales data, inventory metrics, and operational processes to identify improvement opportunities. This position involves close collaboration with store managers, supply chain teams, and IT departments to implement data‑driven strategies that enhance efficiency, increase profitability, and elevate customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to identify trends and performance gaps.
- Monitor inventory turnover, shrinkage, and stock replenishment cycles to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Collaborate with store managers to develop action plans that improve store layout, merchandising, and staff scheduling.
- Prepare detailed operational dashboards and present findings to senior leadership.
- Support the implementation of new POS systems and digital tools to streamline processes.
- Conduct regular store visits to validate data accuracy and provide on‑site recommendations.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities for the retail division.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar data visualization tools.

Education

Experience
Minimum of 3‑5 years of experience in retail operations analysis, store performance management, or a comparable role within the retail industry. Experience with large‑scale retail chains is preferred.
Salary
The position offers a competitive salary ranging from 1,500,000 to 2,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and incentives are also part of the compensation package.
