Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our Security Operations Center (SOC) in Dar es Salaam. This role is critical to protecting our infrastructure, data, and users from evolving digital threats. You will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents, performing vulnerability assessments, and implementing robust security protocols. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network traffic and system logs to identify suspicious activity and potential security breaches.
• Lead incident response efforts, including containment, eradication, and recovery from security incidents.
• Conduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security weaknesses.
• Develop and implement advanced security policies and procedures to protect organizational assets.
• Perform forensic analysis on security incidents to determine root causes and prevent future occurrences.
• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
• Provide expert guidance and training to internal teams on cybersecurity best practices and threat awareness.

Required Skills

• Advanced proficiency in network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS).
• Deep understanding of common attack vectors, including phishing, malware, and DDoS attacks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to react quickly to emerging threats.
• Expertise in using security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance standards such as GDPR and local data protection laws.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field is required. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly preferred and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.

Experience

Candidates must possess a minimum of five years of professional experience in cybersecurity or information security roles.
