Job Overview
This role focuses on designing and implementing smart water management systems in urban and rural areas of Manyara. The position requires expertise in integrating technology with traditional water infrastructure to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure equitable access to clean water. Candidates will collaborate with local stakeholders, government agencies, and international partners to deliver scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and oversee the implementation of smart water distribution systems using IoT-enabled sensors and data analytics.
- Conduct feasibility studies and environmental impact assessments for new water infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with municipal authorities to integrate smart water technologies into existing urban planning frameworks.
- Develop maintenance protocols for smart water systems to ensure long-term sustainability.
- Provide technical training to local teams on the operation and troubleshooting of advanced water management tools.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in civil engineering software (AutoCAD, GIS, and hydraulic modeling tools).
- Experience with IoT platforms and real-time data monitoring systems.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
- Knowledge of Tanzanian water regulations and international sustainability standards (e.g., ISO 14001).
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and cross-cultural collaboration.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Master’s degree in Water Resource Management or Urban Planning preferred.
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in water infrastructure projects, with at least 1 year in smart technology integration.
- Proven experience working in African urban development or rural water access initiatives.
Salary
5,000,000 – 7,500,000 SSP annually, with performance-based bonuses and project incentives.
