Key Responsibilities

  • Design and engineer commercial, industrial, and mini-grid solar PV systems.
  • Conduct detailed site assessments and solar resource analysis to optimize performance.
  • Prepare technical specifications, single-line diagrams, and system layouts.
  • Supervise on-site installation, testing, and commissioning of solar PV systems.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to select high-quality components.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting guidance to field technicians.
  • Ensure all engineering activities adhere to safety standards.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in solar design software such as PVsyst, AutoCAD, and Homer Pro.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and battery storage technologies.

Education

Experience

A minimum of five years of progressive experience in designing and implementing solar PV systems is required. Proven experience in managing mini-grid projects in East Africa is highly preferred.
