Job Purpose
The System Analyst will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, supporting enterprise applications, implementing system improvements, and ensuring smooth operations of insurance systems and digital platforms.
The role acts as a bridge between business stakeholders, vendors, and ICT teams to ensure technology solutions meet business goals, operational efficiency, compliance requirements, and performance expectations.
The successful candidate will contribute to application support, software enhancement, systems integration, quality assurance, business process automation, digital systems management, and IT operational stability.
Key Job Responsibilities (JD)
The System Analyst will perform the following responsibilities:
Business Requirements Analysis
- Gather and analyze business requirements from underwriting, claims, operations, finance, and management teams.
- Prepare detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).
- Create process flows, user stories, and functional specifications.
- Conduct gap analysis and recommend practical business solutions.
Enterprise System Support
- Support enterprise applications including:
- Core insurance systems
- ERP platforms
- Finance systems
- Digital portals
- Mobile applications
- Ensure stable system performance and operational continuity.
Software Development & Enhancements
- Implement small system developments and configurations.
- Support workflow automation and reporting improvements.
- Assist with customization of insurance and enterprise systems.
API & System Integrations
- Support REST and SOAP API integrations between:
- Core systems
- Finance systems
- Third-party partners
- Customer portals
- Mobile applications
- Troubleshoot interface and integration-related issues.

Testing & Quality Assurance
- Develop and execute:
- Functional testing
- Regression testing
- Integration testing
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Log and monitor defects before system releases.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards.
System Monitoring & Support
- Provide second-level technical support.
- Troubleshoot recurring operational incidents.
- Recommend permanent corrective solutions.
- Monitor system performance and optimization.
Documentation & Change Management
- Maintain proper system documentation.
- Follow software change management procedures.
- Support release planning and deployment tracking.
Education Requirements
To qualify for this position, applicants should possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Information Technology (IT)
- Computer Science
- Software Engineering
- Insurance Technology
- Or related fields
Professional certifications in Business Analysis, SQL, ERP Systems, Agile, SDLC, Insurance Systems, or API Development will be considered an added advantage.
Experience Requirements
Applicants should have:
- 2–5 years of professional experience in:
- System Analysis
- Application Support
- Enterprise System Implementation
- Software Development
- ERP Platforms
- Business Systems Integration
Previous experience within insurance, banking, or financial services environments will be an added advantage.
