Job Overview
The Agricultural Finance Officer will play a pivotal role in designing, evaluating, and managing financing solutions for farmers, agribusinesses, and value‑chain participants in the Kigoma region. Key Responsibilities
- Assess creditworthiness of agricultural clients using financial statements, cash‑flow analysis, and sector‑specific risk metrics.
- Structure loan products such as seasonal credit, equipment financing, and agribusiness working capital facilities.
- Conduct field visits to farms and agribusiness sites to verify collateral, monitor project progress, and provide technical guidance.
- Collaborate with the Risk Management team to ensure compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local cooperatives, NGOs, and government agencies to expand the bank’s outreach.
- Prepare detailed credit proposals and present them to the Credit Committee for approval.
- Monitor loan performance, identify early warning signs of distress, and implement remediation strategies.
- Participate in financial literacy workshops and capacity‑building sessions for clients.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in financial modeling and risk assessment.
- In‑depth knowledge of Tanzania’s agricultural sector, value chains, and seasonal cycles.

Education
