Job Overview

The Head of Digital Learning Solutions will lead the design, development, and implementation of e‑learning platforms and digital curricula for K‑12 and higher education institutions in the region. Reporting to the Regional Director, you will collaborate with product managers, instructional designers, and technology partners to create scalable solutions that improve student outcomes and teacher effectiveness. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive digital learning strategy for the Kigoma region, aligning with Pearson’s global roadmap.
  • Lead cross‑functional teams to design, develop, and launch e‑learning courses, mobile apps, and learning management systems.
  • Partner with local schools, ministries of education, and NGOs to ensure content relevance and compliance with Tanzanian educational standards.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee the integration of third‑party technologies.
  • Analyze usage data and learning analytics to continuously improve platform performance and learner engagement.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership on project milestones, budget adherence, and impact metrics.
  • Drive professional development programs for teachers to enhance digital pedagogy.

Required Skills

  • Proven expertise in instructional design, curriculum development, and e‑learning technologies.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (Moodle, Canvas, or proprietary platforms).
  • Data‑driven mindset with proficiency in analytics tools (Google Analytics, Power BI).
  • Fluency in English and Swahili.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Education Technology, Instructional Design, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ATD) are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage.

Experience

Minimum of seven years of experience in digital education, with at least three years in a leadership role overseeing large‑scale e‑learning projects. Prior experience in the Tanzanian or East African education market is preferred.

Salary

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary ranging from SSP 3,500,000 to SSP 5,000,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional performance‑based incentives may be offered.
