Job Overview
The Renewable Energy Project Engineer will lead the planning, design, and execution of renewable energy projects, primarily focusing on solar and wind installations in the Mtwara region. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of solar and wind projects, from site assessment to commissioning.
- Develop detailed engineering designs, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Conduct feasibility studies, resource assessments, and cost‑benefit analyses.
- Coordinate with procurement, construction, and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and risk registers, providing regular updates to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with Tanzanian regulations, international standards, and TotalEnergies safety protocols.
- Engage with local communities, government agencies, and partners to secure permits and foster stakeholder support.
- Monitor performance metrics post‑commissioning and recommend optimization strategies.

- Strong knowledge of solar PV and wind turbine technologies.
- Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVSyst, WindPro).

Education

Experience
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in renewable energy project engineering, preferably with exposure to both solar and wind projects. Experience in the Tanzanian energy market or similar emerging markets is highly desirable.
Salary
The competitive salary range for this role is SSP 2,500,000 to SSP 3,500,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional performance‑based incentives may be offered.
