Job Overview
This role involves analyzing renewable energy systems to optimize performance, reduce costs, and ensure alignment with national sustainability goals. The position is based in Geita, a key hub for emerging solar and wind projects in northern Tanzania. Candidates will contribute to the company’s mission of achieving 100% renewable energy adoption in Tanzania by 2030.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies for new solar and wind energy projects
- Model energy production scenarios using GIS and energy simulation software
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design grid-integrated renewable systems
- Monitor system performance and recommend efficiency improvements
- Prepare technical reports for stakeholders and regulatory bodies
Required Skills
- Proficiency in energy modeling tools (e.g., HOMER, RETScreen)
- Strong analytical skills with emphasis on data-driven decision-making
- Knowledge of Tanzanian energy regulations and sustainability frameworks
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Renewable Energy
- Master’s Degree preferred but not required
Experience
- 3-5 years in energy systems analysis, project management, or related roles
- Experience with East African energy markets is a significant advantage
Salary
Annual base salary between 3,500,000 and 5,000,000 TSH, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
