Job Overview

The Risk Management Analyst will play a pivotal role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks associated with the bank’s operations in Tanzania. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for credit, market, operational, and liquidity risks.
  • Develop and maintain risk measurement models, including Value at Risk (VaR) and stress testing frameworks.
  • Prepare risk reports and dashboards for senior management and regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor risk indicators and recommend mitigation strategies to business units.
  • Collaborate with the compliance team to ensure adherence to local and international regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the bank’s risk appetite framework.
  • Participate in internal audit reviews and support external audit processes.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on risk awareness and best practices.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SAS, R, Python).
  • In-depth knowledge of banking risk concepts, Basel III standards, and local regulatory guidelines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex risk findings clearly.

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. Experience
