Job Overview

The Supply Chain Analyst will play a pivotal role in optimizing the end‑to‑end supply chain processes that support Toyota Tanzania’s production and distribution activities. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the analyst will be responsible for data‑driven analysis, demand forecasting, inventory management, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of components and finished vehicles. Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, validate, and analyze supply chain data from procurement, production, and logistics functions.
  • Develop accurate demand forecasts using statistical models and market intelligence.
  • Monitor inventory levels, identify excess or shortage situations, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to improve lead times and reliability.
  • Support the implementation of Toyota Production System (TPS) tools such as Kanban and Just‑In‑Time.
  • Prepare regular performance dashboards and present insights to senior management.
  • Participate in root‑cause analysis for supply chain disruptions and drive corrective action plans.
  • Assist in the evaluation of new suppliers and the negotiation of service level agreements.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and supply chain best practices.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as APICS CPIM or CSCP are considered an advantage.

Experience

Applicants should have 3 to 5 years of experience in supply chain analysis, demand planning, or inventory management within a manufacturing or automotive environment. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is highly desirable.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from SSP 2,000,000 to SSP 3,500,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses and statutory benefits.
