Job Overview:Heifer International is seeking a Sustainable Livestock Production Specialist to join our team in Tanga, Tanzania. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing sustainable livestock production programs that improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement sustainable livestock production programs that improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify best practices in sustainable livestock production
  • Develop and implement training programs for farmers and extension agents
  • Collaborate with local stakeholders to promote sustainable livestock production practices

Required Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Animal Science or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in sustainable livestock production
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
