Job Overview
The Sustainable Water Resources Manager will be responsible for leading IWMI’s water resources management program in Tanzania. The successful candidate will have a strong background in water resources management, and will be able to develop and implement effective solutions to address the country’s water challenges.
The Sustainable Water Resources Manager will work closely with government agencies, civil society organizations, and the private sector to develop and implement water management policies and practices that are sustainable and equitable.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead IWMI’s water resources management program in Tanzania
- Develop and implement effective solutions to address Tanzania’s water challenges
- Work closely with government agencies, civil society organizations, and the private sector to develop and implement water management policies and practices
- Conduct research and analysis to inform water management decisions
- Develop and manage project budgets and work plans
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Water Resources Management or a related field
- 8-12 years of experience in water resources management
- Strong background in research and analysis
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
Education
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Water Resources Management or a related field. A Ph.D. in a related field is an added advantage.
Experience
The successful candidate will have 8-12 years of experience in water resources management, with a strong background in research and analysis. Experience working in a team environment is also essential.
Salary
The salary for this position is 500,000 – 700,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience.
