Job Overview
This Audit and Assurance Consultant role is part of PwC Tanzania’s initiative to strengthen financial accountability and transparency in the region. The position offers a unique opportunity to work on high-impact projects for local and international clients, ensuring compliance with Tanzanian and international accounting standards. Candidates will contribute to audit engagements, risk assessments, and financial reporting processes while supporting the firm’s mission to drive economic development in Tanzania.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct financial audits for corporate and public sector clients in compliance with Tanzanian accounting regulations.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and recommendations for process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess internal controls and financial risks.
- Provide advisory services on financial compliance and governance frameworks.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to client relationship management.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in audit software (e.g., ACL, CaseWare).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Tanzanian tax laws and accounting standards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification preferred.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in audit, assurance, or financial advisory roles.
- Proven track record in audit engagements for Tanzanian clients.
Salary
5,000,000 – 8,000,000 SSP annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
