Key Responsibilities
As the Training Officer, you will coordinate and implement training programs that strengthen employee skills, improve workplace safety, and support workforce development initiatives.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver training programs across multiple departments including Mining, Processing, Human Resources, Maintenance, and Support Services
- Implement training schedules based on Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and approved annual training plans
- Maintain detailed and accurate training records, attendance reports, certifications, and compliance documentation
- Support employee competency development, workforce upskilling, and performance improvement initiatives
- Liaise with department managers, contractors, and external training providers to meet operational training requirements
- Promote health and safety awareness, environmental compliance, and workplace standards through employee education programs
- Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements for learning outcomes and operational efficiency
- Ensure all training programs comply with mining regulations, company standards, and legal compliance requirements
- Prepare reports, presentations, and workforce development records for management review
- Facilitate onboarding and induction programs for new employees

Education and Qualifications
Applicants should meet the following academic requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Education, Occupational Health & Safety, Training Management, or a related discipline
- A recognized Training Qualification such as Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or equivalent will be considered an added advantage
- Professional certifications in Learning & Development, Occupational Safety, HR Management, or Adult Education are desirable
Experience Requirements
To qualify for this role, candidates should possess:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in mining or mineral processing operations
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in training and workforce development
- Demonstrated experience in delivering technical training, employee coaching, workforce planning, and compliance-based learning programs
- Experience conducting skills assessments, competency evaluations, and employee development initiatives
