About the Program
The Partnership Program for Comprehensive and Integrated Maternal and Newborn Health Improvement (Mjamzito na Mtoto Salama) is a five-year healthcare initiative focused on improving maternal healthcare, newborn survival, emergency obstetric care, antenatal services, postpartum hemorrhage prevention, and neonatal care systems in Tanzania.
The project operates across Geita, Katavi, and Kigoma regions, supporting healthcare system strengthening and improving quality emergency maternal services.
Key Job Responsibilities
Program Support Duties
The Program and Finance Assistant will:
- Support the planning, coordination, and implementation of project activities
- Coordinate community outreach programs and stakeholder engagement
- Assist with budget preparation, activity schedules, and work plans
- Organize training sessions, workshops, and field logistics
- Support monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities
- Assist in data collection, project tracking, and donor reporting
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of project records
- Prepare program narrative reports for management and funding partners
Financial Management Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Assist with regional office budget preparation and monitoring
- Process vendor payments, reimbursements, staff advances, and financial transactions
- Maintain petty cash records and financial documentation
- Ensure compliance with donor regulations and NGO financial policies
- Support invoice verification and procurement documentation
- Maintain accurate financial reports and accounting records
